Technology, like culture,
develops with time to meet the specific needs of people. The technology
to safely and efficiently treat wastewater is no exception. As
the population of Australia grows and global warming is becoming
a bigger problem, the responsibility to be conscientious about
waste treatment becomes everyone’s.
In Japan, tremendous research has gone into domestic systems that
have become the standard in wastewater treatment in the world. Japan
has many strong reasons to care about water quality and pollution
as do we. Fuji Clean Co. Ltd have set a new level for efficiency
and performance. Fuji Clean alone sells 60,000 domestic treatment
units each year, 99% of which discharge to the surface. Installed
units number around 8 million and the track record for treatment
and reliability of these onsite treatment systems has been well documented
by sources both public and private.
new standard
for wastewater treatment
Fuji
Clean Australia bring the same technology to the Australia Onsite
Wastewater market. This technology creates a new standard for wastewater
treatment in this country.
treatment
The
Fuji Clean System combines the best elements of anaerobic and aerobic
digestion to provide a superior wastewater treatment system. The
system readily and consistently meets the secondary treatment standards
of 20mg/L BOD, and 30mg/L TSS. No septic tank is required. The
use of fixed media within the anaerobic compartment effectively
creates a high performance septic tank within the confines of the
unit. The media provides a stable environment to ensure that strong
bacterial colonies remain even after high flow events that may
impede the performance of a normal septic tank.
The
aeration chamber employs a suspended media to enhance treatment.
This upper media provides a stable home for bacterial colonies
to inhabit. The packed lower media provides a filtration mechanism
while the continuous sludge return enables the efficient reduction
of suspended solids in the effluent. Additionally, twice each day,
an automatic backwash routine stirs the media with air to thoroughly
break up accumulated materials, which are then returned to the
sedimentation chamber. In the course of returning wastes to the
front of the unit, some denitrification is achieved.
The
use of media within the Fuji Clean System creates an extremely
robust unit. Although wastewater constituents and flow rate can
vary tremendously from day to day, the system will continue to
perform effectively and efficiently. The system can even sustain
low or no flow periods for several months with little or no disruption
of quality.
flexible
The
CS and CRX units can be utilized in configurations other than as
a standard domestic waste water treatment unit. Other uses include:
grey water
treatment
The
units can be configured to treat selective household waste to a
standard that will allow re-use of grey water for the purpose of
toilet flushing, washing the car and garden irrigation. Treated
effluent from the units can be stored in rainwater tanks for short
periods.
remote
area use
The
CS1200 operates using a 40 watt compressor the same as a light
bulb. The unit can be configured to use power from a solar panel.
The units are extremely energy efficient and have no internal
motors or drives. The operation of the CS1200 is on the basis of
air lift systems within the unit. This makes the CS1200 ideal for
remote area installations.
environmentally
sensitive area installations including high water table sites
The
CRX series treat domestic waste to a very high standard. The high
standard of treatment includes the removal of nutrients from the
effluent. The effluent creates a minimal environmental impact.
economical
The
units are priced competitively and are number 1 for low running
costs and reliability.
